Decked out Dakota Fanning legs it to Venice Film Festival in embellished Miu Miu mini dress
Dakota Fanning showed support for her favorite high fashion label during the Venice Film Festival.
And the Night Moves star also showed off her long legs in a white Miu Miu mini dress on Thursday at Sala Perla in Italy where the 71st annual festival kicked off the day before.
The 20-year-old actress attended the designer brand’s eighth annual Women’s Tales series which celebrates the work of female film directors.
Dakota donned a sleeveless frock with green jeweled detailing embellished throughout the dress and metallic beading that dangled at the bottom hem.
She accessorized the look with a small emerald clutch and a pair of nude peep toe pumps.
The starlet, who’s little sister Elle is the face of Miu Miu’s Spring 2015 line, wore her blonde tresses down around the shoulders and kept her make-up natural with a pretty pink lip.
Fanning was in Venice to preview the seventh and eighth installment of this year’s Women’s Tales collection that featured two films, Spark And Light by So Yong Kim and Somebody by Miranda July.
On Thursday, Miu Miu and Prada founder Miuccia Prada announced a new digital app that went live on iTunes according to Women’s Wear Daily.
In collaboration with the latest installment, Prada and July created an app called Somebody in accordance with the special screening.
According to a press release obtained by the publication, the new designer app is a message service.
'Somebody works when you send a message to an intended recipient, a friend, a lover, a family member. The message goes not to the intended recipient, but to the person geographically nearest in proximity to the intended recipient. The messenger, most likely a stranger, delivers the message verbally, acting as your stand in.'
In July’s short film, she explores the use of the app through the breaking up and making up of relationships.
Many other fashion loving celebrities were on hand to celebrate the Miu Miu movies with Dakota including Kirsten Dunst, Kate Mara, Felicity Jones, Lena Dunham and Nicoletta Romanoff.
Fanning, Dunst and Dunham will all attend a VIP exclusive dinner on Friday in honor of the app launch with other famous guests Edward Norton, Jenni Konner, Joel Cohen and Francesco Vezzoli.
The Prada matriarch believes her new service ‘is the antithesis of this utilitarian efficiency that tech promises.
